A 5 Cake Weekend! From Sesame Street to the Daytona 500.

This week almost did me in! I bought all my supplies on Monday. Then started making icing, fondant, fillings, and baking on Tuesday. On Wednesday more baking and more fondant making. By Thursday night (or rather Friday morning at 3am) I was almost done with 3 cakes. Friday was the last day of caking and the finishing work went on one cake and the two stacked girlie cakes and the smash cake were finished. We even had time to go out and have dinner and fellowship with some good friends on Friday night. I think I'll need a nap today but all 5 cakes were either delivered or picked up by 11am this morning.

I would call that a very busy but very successful caking week! Enjoy the photos! And yes, there is a repeat cake in this bunch. It's been snowing a lot in Southeastern, PA and too much snow can really put a damper on a little girl's Birthday Party!

Wow, that is an amazing week! Your cakes are always so clean and the details are what really make them! The most I've done yet is a 3 cake week. Do you have a job outside the home too?

Thanks so much ladies! At this point Truly Custom Cakery is my only job. It's a little more than I thought it would be with all the paperwork and ordering that needs to take place but I'm enjoying it. My kids like it too because mommy is home and they get to eat lots of cake scraps!

They are BEAUTIFUL!! I sure wish I lived closer. We are doing a "baggage" theme from our ladies church retreat and the suitcases would have been perfect to have for Friday night "snack".
