I'm totally in love with my new apron AND you could WIN ONE!!!

I know... how can you be in love with an apron? But I AM! I don't know why but I've had such a hard time finding one. I opened shop in November and have been searching for an apron ever since. I wanted one that would kind of double as a quasi-uniform for various events. BUT I also wanted practical.

If you are anything like me, you go through lots of towels in the kitchen. Either they are sopping wet because you wash your hands so many times or you end up with piles of half used towels because you walk around with them and then they aren't handy when you need them.

Check out what this lady did. She made a half apron with snap on towels!!! I love, love, love it! I also purchased 3 replacement towels so that as I work, I can just replace the towel if I make too big of a mess of it. But now I ALWAYS have a towel handy when I need it! And these are made for REAL women too. Because you know I taste what I make! (wink)

And as a bonus, she also has great tie back headbands to keep your hair back. Which is a requirement in the food industry. So now I have a coordinated look that matches my shop colors and is amazingly practical.

Now onto the drawing!!!

You have two weeks to enter. The deadline is Saturday, May 22nd! All you have to do is comment on this post and tell me why you want the apron. You MUST provide your e-mail address so we can contact you if you win.. The winner will be announced ON THIS WEBSITE, Monday, May 24, 2010.

Winner will receive their choice of a Snap To It! Dishtowel Apron ($30 value). The available fabrics can be seen here: (http://www.diaperbagwrangler.com/shopadultapron.html)

I'd love to win this apron! It'd totally benefit my daily routine, as I walk around with a towel on my shoulder all day long. I have three children, three years and under and my shoulder towel is constantly falling or being pulled off. The snap-on apron would be the perfect addition in my life right now! :) Thanks for the opportunity to win this giveaway!

I need it because I'm just like you!

I either have a soaked towel from too many hand washings, or a pile of clean towels because I keep misplacing the one(s) I'm already using.

I love this idea... I would love this apron becuase it would save my some money on paper towels. I probably use a roll when I made a cake.

These aprons are so retro chic--I want one in every color! =) I need one because I have 3 little boys (1 more on the way) who love to "help" me in the kitchen. This means me being dusted in flour, splattered in sauces, and smeared with all things sticky. Having a towel handy on my apron means I can wipe as I go and save my clothes in the process!

I totally relate to you in regards to having heaps of soaking towels or half used towels everyone. I thought it was just me, but I am glad to know I am not alone! I could easily fall in love with one of those aprons!

Your new apron is just as pretty as it is useful. I must admit I have NEVER worn an apron--perhaps because none have ever been as fashionable as these :) So, this would be the PERFECT apron to start out with .

I can commiserate with having too many half-used towels in the kitchen! I also have never owned an apron and would love such a fun, adorable and, might I add, USEFUL addition to my slowly-updating kitchen. I need something fresh in that kitchen until we can get to the next step!

Good idea, Stacey!

What a great idea! I love it. I am always in the kitchen, either at home or at my parents restaurant. I think this would be great for my stepmom (the cook at her restaurant). I would love to have one for myself, but if I won it, I would give it to her...she deserves something nice AND useful to cook in all day long.

COOL Apron! I always walk around with the dish towel tucked into the apron strings! I would use this all the time, but particularly in June when I will (for the third year) cook three meals a day for two mission teams who are on separate schedules (6 meals a day), for a week. I wear lots of food that week, lol!

That's an amazing apron! Casey is awesome. This apron is a must have for all ladies from stay at home mom, and pastry chefs and high end restaurant chefs. I would love to have this apron because I haven't been able to find a half apron as functional as this one. I am a stay at home mom and wife. The apron I own now (which is a full apron) has been my bff for forever but looks like something out of a crypt movie lol. It doubles as my crafting apron so you can imagine what it looks like; paint of all colors and hot glue also. It would be nice to have an apron thats just for baking and cooking. I think this apron is totally great for green purposes. I could cut back on paper towels without a doubt, my towel would always be handy and and the actual fabric (which is gorgeous may I add) would stay clean and beautiful. I just love the color contrast between the belt and the apron itself. It adds zing and gives the apron a sort of personality if you will. Overall I am impressed and will be sending liks to friends of mine. Thanks..

This apron is awesome! Casey, great idea, and Stacy thanks for the chance to win one. This apron is by far one of the most functional and original aprons I have set eyes on. I would love to win this apron because I own a full apron that looks like someting out of the crypt! I have been unable to find a half apron thats actually worth its weight in gold. I am a stay at home mom and wife and use my current apron for every purpose imagineable. So you can depict how it looks; paint of every color and hot glue, mixed with food stains from my "culinary magic" lol. I am all for everything green, so I actually would use a lot less paper towels. Between drying my hands with paper towels and losing my actual dish/dry towel (somewhere between the kitchen and the kids room) I would have one moment of sanity in my busy day. This apron could prove to be beneficial to a lot of people from pastry chefs and homemakers to high end restaurant chefs and crafters.
I also love the fabric color contrast. The belt being solid and apron a pattern, adds style and personality if you will. Glad I happened across your blog; I will be sending links to friends. Thanks again for the chance to win.

What a great idea! An apron like that would save not only time (I spend a lot of time looking for where I last put my towel down at) but also my clothes (I tend to be a bit messy sometimes & I don't have an apron yet).

Why do I love this? I make a mess in the kitchen, I use a ton of paper towels, my shirts have food stains on them, I always run out of dish towels, how much space do I get here????

I'm retired, my wife drives a School Bus, get home at 5:00, so I cook, which I love. Am a fan of Rachael Ray and Food Network. Everyone says I'm messy cook, but they like my meals. (they rate 75% 10's) I need that Apron/Towel to help me be neater.
Thank You

I have never really been an apron person but the last few years I have been cooking more and realize that it sure would be nice to not be wiping my hands on my pants all the time! The snap towels are amazing, especially because I use almost every towel in the kitchen because I am constantly losing them when I am cooking!

Susan said...

Let's see, where to begin the reason/s why I need one of those common-sense aprons. I am wearing black shorts and a grey shirt. I made a simple fruit salad for dinner and noticed I had strawberry juice on my shirt and some unidentifiable white powder on my black shorts. Maybe I just need a full body apron instead? ;) This is very generous of you!

Keep the pictures coming on Facebook, they are a big part of the highlights of my week!

I would love one becasue I'm running out of kitchen towels! Also I'm taking baking classes now and need something cute to wear to them and these are most adorable!

Tanya Stelter said...

I would love to have that apron for several reasons. 1. I'm a mom of 2 with #3 on the way and if you are a mom (and I know you are) you know that little hands find their way to your pants and shirt tails while in the kitchen and it never fails that those little hands are covered in something that they have just eaten. 2. Currently the apron I am using happens to be my husbands and WAY TOO BIG! I have to tie the neck back and fold the apron over just to get it to fit & serve it's purpose. 3. I go through so many dish towels it is not even funny! My 2 year old likes taking off with them whenever I turn my back. And finally 4. I cook alot and if would just be nice to have something cute to wear in the kitchen.

I want the apron!! Why? Because nobody and I do mean nobody can make a mess quite like this granny can! I can cover the walls, the floor, and myself with whatever I'm cooking without breaking a sweat. I can spoil the grandkids, kiss the dog, and flip a burger and end up with all of it on my clothes. So, this old granny needs that apron!!!
