Teal Topsy Turvy Sweet Sixteen Cake

I'm really enjoying all these pretty, sparkly, and girly cakes lately! This one is more of a sparkly, grown up, girly cake than all the pink and flowery cakes I've done lately. But it shouts GIRL all the way!

The colors are Teal, Black, and White. Teal edible gems were made to accent and the stars and bow are dusted with a little clear blue disco dust (I LOVE that stuff).

The Event was held at Jeffersonville Golf Club.

A little deer hunter...

A Birthday Cake for a young man who likes to hunt. Last hunting season he got an 8pt deer and was very proud of his accomplishment. Mom wanted to remember that happy moment on his Birthday Cake. Everything is hand sculpted. The antlers, bow, arrow, and shovel handle are NOT edible. Everything else is.

Okay... the shovel and the hole... I know... looks like he shot the deer just so he can bury it. BUT mom said he dug a big hole (I don't remember why) and wanted a hole dug with a shovel, dirt, and rocks. On a cake this size, it really looks like something else is going on. But in reality, it's just one of the things I was asked to include.

This is a vanilla cake with peanut butter cup filling.

Black and White Birthday Cake

The director of my son's pre-school orders a cake for the Birthday's of her staff members. So on Tuesday's when they have a staff meeting, whoever has a Birthday that week, gets a cake. It's a fantastic way to show her staff how important they are and not overlook their important days.

We decided on 9" cakes because they are big enough to enjoy at the staff meeting and the Birthday Girl can bring the leftovers home for her family.

Today is Happy Birthday to Miss Jean. I wanted to do kind of "funky cool" because that's the way she is. Nothing too frilly but festive at the same time. I think Black and White works well for this occasion.

Damask Gift Box Birthday Cake

I am sooo excited that Tyler asked me to make a cake for you. Of course he said to keep it simple and this is what "simple" looks like to me! I am thrilled with all the new stuff I got to learn on your behalf and don't worry, you can have copies of all these pictures! BUT I want a photo of the two of us with your cake!

Happy Birthday my friend! I love you!

Precious little one...

Okay... this speaks for itself. I'm ready to do a baby shower cake. Just itching to do a baby shower cake. Is this not the most precious cake topper you ever saw???

This baby is all made of gum paste with a fondant blanket and gum paste bow. I have another little guy drying that I'll show you later. Can't wait to see how that one turns out. Maybe I'll make that one a girl... Stay tuned!
