Melting Snowman Cookies for Valentine's Day.

I used my Double Chocolate Cookie Recipe as the base of these Snowmen. They cookie was cut out with a heart cutter. Disco Dust was added to make them shimmer.

I think these would make great "break-up" cookies. I know... it would be a miserable way to break the news... but doesn't it look like their relationship is ending?! ha ha ha

This poor sad snow couple. They are trying to hold on, but they know the end is near...

Double Chocolate Cookies

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

1 cp butter
1 pkg Chocolate Pudding
3/4 cp Sugar
3/4 cp Brown Sugar
2 tsp Vanilla

Combine the above ingredients and mix.

2 Eggs(room temperature)

Add Eggs and mix

2 cps. All Purpose Flour
2/3 cp. Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder
3/4 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Salt

Combine these ingredients in a separate bowl and whisk together lightly to incorporate. Then gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients just until they are thoroughly combined. Do Not Over Mix.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Confirmation Cake and Cookies for a special young lady...

This is the first time I was asked to make cookie party favors to go along with the cake. I really enjoyed the project and I'm so pleased with how both the cake and the cookies turned out. This was a custom order all the way. I think I'll have to add a new page on my website just for party favors. I could get into this.

Thanksgiving Pumpkin Place Card Cookies

Made these to decorate the dinner table and help everyone know where to sit. They are soft sugar cookies with an almond citrus royal icing. My husband taste tested 2 before I even had the icing made. This recipe passes the test. I'll wrap each one individually once the icing dries and then they will be packaged to be eaten or saved for another day.

Happy Birthday to Me! The KitchenAid Stand Mixer of my Dreams!

Okay... so I've been drooling over this for quite some time now and just haven't wanted to spend the money. Sooo... I'd make batch after batch of icing, and split my cakes into more manageable batches... and when I'd overload my poor little KitchenAid (that has served me VERY well), I'd hear the poor motor start protesting... I have known for a while that with more and more cakes, I'd have to upgrade and the time has finally come! My 4.5 quart KitchenAid that I got as a wedding gift more than 10 years ago is now a back-up.

Say hello to my new 6 quart beauty!

I'm sooo excited! Do you know this baby can mix 13 dozen cookies in one batch??? I'm sooo tempted to try! Thanks to Kohl's Dept. Store for having a great sale, mailing me a 30% off coupon and for allowing me to use that coupon multiple times so I could earn lots of Kohl's cash and go buy my Birthday Present. Thanks also go to my Mom, Dad, Grandmother, and Mother-in-law for your contributions!
